Why is my heater blowing cold air?

1. The pilot light is not working.

Many times when your heater is not warming your home, the culprit is a faulty pilot light that starts up your burners.  If cold air is coming from your vents when the heater is on, check the pilot light on your gas furnace system.  If the pilot light is not on, follow the instructions for your furnace to reset or light the pilot.

2. Dirty air filter restricting air flow.
